According to the fireprotection regulations, fire protection monitors must comply with fire protection class A1. The fire protection monitor IoT with bezel by Fortec Integrated from the BLO-Line series consists almost entirely of metal or fire-resistant protective glass and is also theft-proof. Flammable objects must not be installed in publicly accessible areas, especially as these areas are also considered exit routes. Conventional monitors contain building materials that develop smoke gases in case of fire. The manufacturer Fortec Integrated therefore does not use flammable materials in the development of the A1 fire protection monitors. The monitors are widely used as digital signage / interactive information systems in public areas such as railway stations, airports, schools, universities or hospitals.

Fire optimized display with IoT Controller

The 31.5 Full HD fire optimized display (1920x1080) with integrated Raspberry® IoT Controller has HDMI, LAN, USB and Line Out connections as well as a microSD port. In addition, remote control via an external computer is possible via the USB remote connection. The combination of monitor and enclosure eliminates the need for a separate fire protection enclosure. The mounting plate also serves as a wall bracket. This makes it easy to install the fire-proof monitor. On the back there is a recess for wall outlets and other sockets on the wall. For offset sockets, a connection for attaching a cable duct to the underside can also be ordered. The fire protective monitor is also optionally available in portrait format.

Fire behaviour / building material classes according to DIN EN 13501 and DIN 4102

Building materials are divided into building material classes that describe their behaviour in fire tests. The building material classes are not purely a material property, but are influenced, for example, by the surface, density, the bond with other materials or the processing technique. The fire behaviour of a building material is assigned to the classes of the building material tests according to the European standard (EN) and DIN according to the following table:

For building products according to EN 13501-1, a finer grading is made by an additional classification of smoke development and for burning fall-off or dripping. According to DIN 4102-1, these evaluations / additions must be noted in the test certificate. In EN 13501-1, the following subdivisions of the classes for fire behaviour, smoke development (s for smoke) and burning dripping or falling off (d for droplets) are given:
