The Crestron® MPC3-201-B Media Presentation Controller is perfect for classrooms, conference rooms, lecture halls, and training facilities - anywhere a simple yet powerful controller is needed but space is limited. Use the MPC3-102 to control a video display or AV system, adjust lighting and blinds, or perform other custom applications. The MPC3-201-B is designed for flush mounting in a wall with a 1-gang European junction box. It can also be installed in a podium without a junction box or placed on a table using the optional table kit. An aftermarket mounting bracket is also available to enable installation above a 2-gang US junction box, providing an easy upgrade solution to replace an older MPC-M5 Series controller.

Customizable Backlit Capacitive Buttons

• The MPC3‑201‑B features six backlit capacitive buttons, each of which can be labeled using the included symbol chips or custom labeled using laser-engravable chips (sold separately). Each button is illuminated blue when activated and white when inactive to clearly indicate which media source or lighting scene is currently selected. Below are four additional buttons as well as a volume indicator for controlling volume, mute and power. A key click sound can be activated to provide audible confirmation when any button is pressed.
• All buttons on the MPC3‑201‑B are individually programmable to control any device or function. The button illumination can be set to dim or turn off when not in use. Built-in proximity detection activates buttons as you approach, and automatic brightness control ensures optimal button visibility under varying lighting conditions.
• No rack required: The MPC3‑201‑B combines the industry's best control technologies in a compact, wall-mountable unit. High-speed Ethernet provides the essential interface for connecting to the building network and controlling Crestron AV switchers, audio processors, and other IP-controllable devices. Advanced connectivity is available via a DIN‑CENCN‑2‑POE Ethernet to Cresnet® bridge, a CEN‑GWEXER or CENI‑GWEXER infiNET EX® wireless gateway, a CEN‑CI3‑1 POE or CEN‑CI3‑3 control card interface, or CEN‑IO‑COM‑102, CEN‑IO‑COM‑202, CEN‑IO‑DIGIN‑104, CEN‑IO‑DIGIN‑204, CEN‑IO‑IR‑104 CEN‑IO‑IR‑204, CEN‑IO‑RY‑104 or CEN‑IO‑RY‑204 wired and wireless Ethernet modules are available and enable integration with Crestron and third-party devices.
• 3-Series® Control Module: The MPC3‑201‑B features an integrated enterprise-class 3‑Series control processor. The Crestron 3‑Series Control Module provides a dynamic and secure control system platform that can manage a room full of disparate technologies. Thanks to its modular programming architecture (optional), the MPC3‑201‑B can run multiple programs simultaneously for increased efficiency and flexibility. Strong network and IP control enable seamless integration with other systems and devices, with additional control capability via Crestron touchscreens, wireless remotes and mobile device apps with remote management via Crestron Fusion® software and XiO Cloud® service.
• .AV Framework Technology: Integrated .AV Framework™ software technology provides a fully featured AV presentation system with simplified web-based configuration and a choice of control options and add-ons.
• Crestron Fusion Room Monitoring and Scheduling: Crestron Fusion provides an integrated platform for creating smart buildings. As part of a fully managed network in a corporation, university campus, convention center, or other facility, the MPC3-201-B works with Crestron Fusion to enable remote scheduling, monitoring, and control of spaces and technology from a central help desk or mobile app. In addition, companies can reduce energy consumption by tracking consumption in real time. n and automate control of AV, lighting, blinds and HVAC.
• XiO Cloud Deployment and Management: The MPC3‑201‑B is compatible with the XiO Cloud service, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based platform for remotely deploying, monitoring and managing Crestron devices across an enterprise or entire customer base. Built on the Microsoft® Azure® software platform and leveraging Microsoft's industry-leading Azure IoT Hub technology, XiO Cloud enables installers and IT managers to deploy and manage thousands of devices in the time it previously took to manage a single device. Unlike other virtual machine-based cloud solutions, Azure services offer unlimited scalability to meet the ever-growing needs of an organization.
• Enterprise-grade security: The MPC3‑201‑B is an enterprise-class control processor that can be deployed in hundreds of rooms and easily set up via a web browser, toolbox software, Crestron Fusion or Crestron XiO Cloud. It uses standard network security protocols, including 802.1X network access control, Active Directory® software authentication, SSH, TLS, and HTTPS, to ensure reliability and compliance with an organization's IT policies.
• SNMP support: Built-in SNMP support enables integration with third-party IT management software, allowing network administrators to manage and control Crestron systems on the network in an IT-friendly format.
• Power over Ethernet: Using Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, the MPC‑201‑B derives its operating power directly from the LAN cabling. PoE eliminates the need for a local power supply or dedicated power cabling. A PoE injector (PWE-4803RU) is simply connected to the LAN cable at any location. Crestron PoE switches (CEN-SW-POE-5 or CEN-SWPOE-16) can also be used to provide a complete network solution with integrated PoE. All PoE injectors and switches are sold separately.
• Wall mounting: The MPC3‑201‑B is designed for flush mounting in a wall with a 1-way European junction box. It can also be installed in a lectern or podium without a flush box. With the optional retrofit bracket (MPC3‑101/102/201‑RMB sold separately), the MPC3‑201‑B can be installed in a 2-way US junction box, easily replacing an existing MPC‑M5 series controller. After installation, the button labels can be changed at any time by simply removing the front cover. A security screw is included to prevent unauthorized removal.
